The Loudoun Trail
(Darvel, Newmilns and Galston)

Football in Sweden and Spain, specifically Gothenburg and Barcelona, will be forever interwoven by lace with two small Ayrshire towns, Darvel and still more so Newmilns. And the mining-town of Galston too has left its legacy on the game particularly in the USA, all three making contributions to both the Scottish, Scots and British games that are remarkable given their populations, then and now.
